Selling a House | 5 reasons Good Houses Don't Sell
This is a deep night in BD. I have seen your amazing video ...once I will come as a teacher ...and talk to you.Thank you.
You too can fry in the summer and enjoy one of the coldest winters in the country. In your spare time enjoy the highest or second highest crime rates per capita in Canada. Not much to do or sites to see. And very difficult to find work, while you pay ridiculous rent and house prices on sub standard properties. Lol
Thanks Scott
Thanks for the Info Scott. Your numbers are very close to chat GPT's analysis.
So you’re telling me I’m a smart as AI lol
@@ScottZieglerSaskatoon YES YOU ARE!! HAHA😄
I live in Martensville. I'd sy you're pretty spot on except for electricity and single family homes. Unless you're willing to live in the ghetto, whole house rent starts around $2000/mo and purchase price starts around $300,000. Electricity in SK is expensive. I don't know anyone paying under $200/mo unless they are in an apartment. A house with a family of 4 is going to over $200 for sure.
I moved to Martensville to get away from the expensive Saskatoon housing market. Don't know how the rest of the country is doing it with even higher costs.
One year later the housing in Saskatoon is no longer affordable thanks to people coming in from the bigger cities buying up all the affordable housing and charging rent for one floor of a house that is comparable to prices in Vancouver or Toronto. The average person here does not make $100,000 a year to afford the 30% housing margin. It is ridiculously expensive to live here these days.
Relative to the rest of the country we are still affordable. There are far fewer people moving from out east and west then you think.
My question is - what makes Saskatoon a better choice than (say) Regina, Moncton or Windsor?
I can’t speak to the cities out east but saskatoon is way better than Regina. Nicer. More to do. Better options. Safer. Better opportunities
@@ScottZieglerSaskatoon thank you!
Does it have garage?
i want the hack please. Thank you
i live on the west coast and love the rain, how often does it rain in saskatoon?
This year every day lol. June is our wet month other then that is not too bad. But we get snow Nov to March.
what does it go for?
It’s actually haunted I stayed there one night and in the s stairs, there’s a patch filled up because somebody fell while building the building and yeah, so yeah actually kinda is haunted which scares me so I went home right after and it’s really creepy inside
Im Going To Saskatoon For 3 Days!
wait until the indians arrive and mess it all up.
Thank you bro❤ really lost hope here in Montréal
I wana come there am in Montréal there is no work here
What's amazing is why people haven't been moving and retiring to Saskatoon. The entire population of Saskatchewan is the same as Calgary!
Scott, how do you evaluate the infrastructure keeping up with the growth of the city?? Roads, sewers, plumbing, electricity, water supply, medical services, snow removal, etc ? And how do people handle the winter compared to Calgary? Tell us about life for older retired people.🎉
I would think Saskatoon will be keeping up with growth as well as anywhere. Not something I would be concerned about when considering a move. Sask winters are not a whole lot different. Maybe a little colder without the warm winds but relatively comparable id say. The quality/pace of life is unmatched in Saskatoon for retirees.
I live here
What a df from sk.
Oh so mean. My poor feeling are so hurt.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤️
Hi! Thank you for your nice description of your city. I am from Bangladesh, Dhaka. We have plan to move to Saskatoon ASAP. Basically my wife is a candidate for the SINP program. I am a photographer in Dhaka. Can you please advise about the working prospects for outdoor portraits or any any types of photography.
There are lots of photography opportunities here. Good luck on your move.
No jobs, very cold, no future....
😂
As some one who lives in Saskatoon It’s cold 🥶
Considering to move to Saskatoon. Very tired of the hectic life in GTA. Would love to connect with you!
Let’s connect. All info is in description.
Nice place appreciated
is it still available hi Scott, we are moving to saskatoon and we want to purchase this if it is still available
hey Scott,.... thanks for the insight. I'm looking to move to Saskatoon before the end of this year. Is there a platform where I can look for a place to rent?
www.kijiji.ca or Facebook marketplace.
Great info. Looking forward to receiving the hack ;)
Thank you for watching. There is a company that offers house insurance at a deep discount. Go to their website. Fill out an application to the best of your ability and then at the end click “call for quote”. Someone will call you right away. Also if you have any post secondary education often times those institutions have alumni discounts. www.tdinsurance.com through TD Bank.
perhaps a stupid question - but can I meet a bear if I go to a lake near the city?
Probably not. If you go 2+ hours north to some of the lakes there is a possibility. But not close to Saskatoon.
Buying a house there isn't a problem...getting a job that will pay the bills is the problem...unless of course you're on the public teat and have a gov't job. ( municipal, provincial or federal). When I lived in an apartment on Victoria ave. , the apartment manager worked as a manager for the apartment owner, and she worked at Costco...and she was a private investigator. That's the only way she could afford to live and she couldn't even afford a car.
Hey I am so impressed on your positive vibe. Please update about jobs in the field of boat deatailing and restoration in saskatoon
Hey Scott. I'm relocating to Saskatoon from Montreal looking for a rental for June or July can you reach out to me please
Calgary is the sunniest place in Canada
Wrong. 😊
Saskatoon sounds like an alternative to cartoon. Something that's made in Saskatchewan for children to make them learn to praise the great Saskaboss. Needless to say it's the only thing they are allowed to watch. If a child is caught watching cartoons the family gets imprisoned by the Saskapolice. "Should've just watch the saskatoons, kid!"
Hi Scott. Great info from Yr end .
Saskatoon is a funny name. Did you ever meet Dick Assman in Regina? 🙂
Saskatoon is the gem of the prairies.
100% agree
Hello Scott. Thank you for the good and informative video. Very soon In-sha-Allah I will move to Saskatchewan so I have two questions. 1 which city is better to move to Saskatoon or Regina? And my 2nd question is how to save money on home insurance?
😍
What a good speech! I am so convinced 😊😂
Hi Scott,I’m a student from Ghana. I have gotten an admission to the University of Saskatchewan How can I contact you for any assistance in moving to Saskatoon.
To be honest unless you want to buy a house there isn’t much I can do to help. Facebook marketplace or kijiji.ca to find a place to rent. Good luck.
Hello, it was good information and could you tel me about types of work? What kind of works we gonna do as a student for a part time and salaries pls?
Ontario. Renting a one bedroom went from $800- $2200 + in the past two years. I live in a town of 3800. It’s absurd
Yikes. Ya that’s nuts.
@@ScottZieglerSaskatoon yeah, In a small town near Kingston so lots of Toronto gentrification has happened.
Very informative. Thanks
Appreciate you watching.
What is the havk for home insurance?

What the hack? I wanna buy a small condo - 1 person - 500 - 600 sq feet...low strata fees, but they should include heat, property fund, etc....
Yes most include heat, water and building insurance. You just pay your own power. This type of condo costs about $100,000-$130,000 depending on some factors
How safe is it for a woman alone? I've heard high crime rate. Whats transportation like? Bus service? Do you NEED a car? How do keep from freezing to death in winter?
Very safe. Most of our crime s entered in the hood among people who live there. Super safe city. You don't need a car but the bus service isn't the best here. If you bike/walk that helps. Bundle up in the winter. You get used to it. No one has moved here I died yet lol

From Toronto, I think now with online business and the metaverse being in the biggest metropolitans is a luxury but no longer necessary even for business/career growth. So the move to cheaper cities like Saskatoon or even way more rural places with good internet will start becoming more and more common this next decade IMO.
Spot on. Even regular jobs are plentiful here. Soon people will realize financial quality of life trumps big city.
